The GV has its own speed sensor in it. The stock harness gets cut so that
the plug is left as one peice and the stock wires another. Then gv gives you
an extension cable/y connector so that you plug in the stock connector into
the speed sensor and then plug the stock and gv electronics/wiring harness
into the y adapter.

If you look, the speed sensor on the 400 is the one under the belt and the
speed sensor on the gv is the one all of the way in the back (closest to the
driveshaft)

I'll take some pictures of the electronics and scan the instructions when I
get home tonight.
