Sorry for the serious cross posting, but I was hoping SOMEONE could get me
a quick answer.. anyhow, about that broken flexplate...

I called up a place Reactor Products ( www.reactorproducts.com/ ) about a
custom/SFI approved flexplate. Looks like I can get one made for the LS1
and 400 for about 250 which doesn't seem bad considering I spent more on an
overdrive unit than I did on a trans, but either way....

He needed some info that I just don't know/wasn't sure about

1) The LS1 flexplate is externally balanced 168 toof flexplate correct?
2) somethign about a smaller bolt pattern that the other 350s? Is that the
LS1? He said if I knew the inner diameter of the flexplate where is
connects to the crank, that would be the best way for him to check it
3) He says if mine is cracked, there is no way for him to check the
weight/balance on it and setup the new one exactly as the stocker was. He
said the best he can do is set it within factory spec. Now I assume that
is the best anyone could do and obvisouly I just order a factory flexplate
I'll get something factory spec so this shouldn't be a problem?
4) anyone ever dealt with them before? I was kind of hoping I could say
"LS1" and "th400" and he would say "done both, no problem" but he seemed
more confused than anything else. Maybe I just didn't explain well enough?
Are there any other places that custom make SFI approved flexplates? He
says theirs are billet alluminum and won't break and blah blah but I do
like to double check. (Maybe I could call our good friend John LeBlanc at
MBA about something custom made?)

Does anyone have/know where I can get a cheap ls1 flexplate to send them?
Maybe it would be best if I just find/buy a (cheap?) Ls1 flexplate and
send that to them so that they can match is all up perfect?

Anyhelp is appreciated as I'd really like to this moving since he says
about 1 week turn around time, and I figure I need a week or so to get it
apart and back together, then I'll need some time to get it all
straightened out and tested and next thing you know I'll end up not
having it running in time for memphis :/
